Hello!! Welcome to my site! I am very new to the blogging thing, but just wanted to give you all a quick run down of what’s going on in my world.
I competed in an OCB competition which was held locally in Roanoke, VA on October 21, 2017. Exactly one month ago!! WOW-seems kind of like an eternity since then! I placed first in Master’s Women’s Physique, and second in Open Women’s Physique. Each time a competition is over, it is very hard to get back into a groove, because the focus has been on prep for SO long!! Once it is over, you have to take a little time (actually not too much time) to re-group and figure out what your next goals are. Within a week, I had probably come up with 15 different macro scenarios on where I should be to recover from the show and get my calories back to maintenance level. I have always hit the gym pretty hard, so the plan is to get into lean muscle growth ASAP!! All of this without going overboard on processed foods. When you are prepping for a show, the foods need to be clean, but you have to also remember these should be the same when growing, just more of them.
So, a month post show, I have trained probably 5-6 days per week and am actually probably in need of a little more rest! I am teaching middle and high school right now, and with all of my classes, plus online training and nutrition plans and two sons, I am a very busy lady!! Obviously I like it, but my goal is to relax more and stress less 🙂 I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving and look out for some more blogging and video content to be added to my YouTube channel, of me and Luke in the gym, training our tails off and getting him ready for his next show in February! It is going to be weird to help someone and not be in it myself, but I’m always ready for a challenge! Many blessings to you all-be thankful in your life
