10 Reasons a fitness coach is worth it
One of the primary benefits of a fitness coach is that we are trained in teaching others how to exercise, many have spent years (and large amounts of money!) to get the knowledge and experience they have. I have over 25 years of training experience. I can create a workout for almost anyone 🙂
2. Posture and Form
Having a fitness coach to demonstrate and teach technique is invaluable. I use an app that shows you form on each and every prescribed exercise.
How many times have you gone to bed and said, ‘Tomorrow I’m going to wake up, go to the gym, and do an hour workout before I go to work’, only to hit the snooze button whilst imagining punching the guy who invented the alarm clock in the face.
You check in with me weekly and I see every time you log in to train, so you are way more likely to complete your workouts, especially when you are paying to hold yourself to your goals.
4. Tailored Requirements
Everybody is unique, and that means everyone’s abilities and requirements are unique when it comes to exercise. This could be anything from having an old injury that requires special attention, to working around your time and location restrictions. A good coach will tailor everything towards your personal needs and long-term goals, and are able to adapt and fine-tune for how you are feeling during each individual session. That means your own personal plan, and not a generic, one-size-fits-all regime you found from a 2 second internet search. And you thought it was just your mom who said you were special…
5. Realistic Outlook
Everyone wants instant results, whether that be weight loss, or superhero strength. Unfortunately there are a lot of people who are willing to give up on their goals because they haven’t seen instant results, and that is a real shame. A fitness coach will not only help you set realistic goals that you will be able to achieve but they will also be able to keep you on track and monitor your progress.
6. Specific Goals
A fitness coach is the perfect tool to help you achieve a specific goal. Whether that’s training for a specific event such as a marathon or you just need to achieve a certain level of fitness before being able to do something you really want.
7. Time Efficiency
There are two types of people who attend the gym:
1Those who show up, hit the gym with a purpose, and push themselves hard!
2Those who stroll in, do 10 mins of half-hearted cardio, drift from one machine to another playing on their phone before flailing about attempting a bicep curl and heading home again.
A fitness coach is an expert in motivation, and understands that many people have difficulty sticking to any form of exercise. For many, simply knowing that your own coach is waiting at the gym to work with you will not only encourage you to show up, but also ensure that you work hard once you are there.
Think of us as your very own cheerleader, just without the pom pom’s.
9. Confidence Builder
With positivity, encouragement and understanding, a good trainer will show you the best in yourself and help boost your confidence. A well structured program will also improve how your body looks, operates and feels on a daily basis.
Believe it or not, but hiring a fitness coach can actually make working out great fun! We know many variations of different exercises, so things never get boring.
